Charcoal, Graphite & Glass marker
Charcoal, graphite and glass markers are all used to create black and white artworks. While charcoal gives a rich, matte black finish, graphite will always remain slightly reflective and metallic. Glass markers are white in color, and are used on black paper.
Colors Pencils & Soft Pastels
Color pensils and soft pastels are a great combination for portarits. Soft pastels help in creating the smooth textures for skin, fabric etc that blend easily, while color pencils are used to carve out the intricate details such as hair, jewelry etc.
Water Colors
Water colors are used to create stunning impressionist paintings of portraits and landscapes. Water color paintings are some of the most colorful paintings depicted through a unique, soft medium that pulls the onlooker into each portrayal.
Oil Pastels
An oil pastel is a medium formed into a stick which consists of pigment mixed with a binder mixture of non-drying oil and wax. Oil pastels are bold and bright. They can be blended easily but they can break easily too.
Acrylic Paints
Acrylic paints are fast-drying water-based paints, but become water-resistant when dry. Acrylics can be applied in thin layers to create effects that resemble watercolors, but unlike watercolor the washes are not rehydratable once dry.
Oil Paints
Oil paints are slow-drying paints that consists of particles of pigment suspended in a drying oil. They give a richer and denser look, but the process is slower, because one layer of paint needs to be allowed to dry before another is applied.
